⚖️ Contributing to the Evolution of Evidence in Arbitration
The data collection for the post-doctoral research conducted by Dr. João Luiz Lessa de Azevedo Neto, FCIArb, at the University of Lisbon, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Paula Costa e Silva, C.Arb FCIArb, is now open.
This study explores a vital pillar of the arbitral process: “Evidence Production and the Role of the Arbitrator.”
The central focus is to understand how the management of the evidentiary phase impacts the efficiency and legitimacy of arbitral awards. Moving beyond a purely theoretical analysis of the law, this study seeks to map how the arbitrator’s evidentiary powers are exercised, balancing the duty to clarify the facts with party autonomy.
Who should participate? We are looking for insights from active professionals in the field:
- Arbitrators
- Lawyers
- Professors
Why your input matters: We are not looking for “correct” or “standardized” answers. Our goal is to identify the real-world perceptions and practical experiences of those on the front lines of arbitration. Your expertise is essential for the scientific accuracy of this study.
⏱️ Estimated time: 5 minutes.
The questionnaire is open for responses in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
